2020 Edison NJ Mineral, Fossil, Gem and Jewelry Show

The Franklin Mineral Museum will again provide fluorescent minerals for display during the show. This family-friendly show features minerals, fossils, jewelry, gemstones, decorator items, beads, giftware, lapidary tools and supplies, and more. Super Diggg during Spring Mineral Show

This year the Super Diggg, held annually during the spring Gem & Mineral Show since 2005, returns to the Franklin Mineral Museum. The Super Diggg is organized by the Delaware Valley Earth Science Society. Events include mineral collecting on the Buckwheat Dump (with special access to the Mill Site material within a fenced area previously off-limits), a geological tour of the Trotter mine area, door prizes for children, and more. Summer Night Dig

June 6 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Summer night dig, open to the public. Come look for fluorescent minerals at night on the famous Buckwheat Dump.   Dig begins at 7:30 p.m. Sturdy footwear (no open-toed shoes) and protective eyewear required. Bring your own ultraviolet light, flashlight or head lamp, and collecting equipment. Hand tools only; no powered equipment allowed for breaking or cutting rock.
